Carpentry Projects Across Norfolk

Annex - Fakenham

At Andrew Boyle Carpentry, elevating living spaces remains an utmost priority in projects built across Norfolk. One such space transformed is a recent home extension in Fakenham delivered seamlessly matching the owner’s desired practical footage.

Our straightforward build journey began by reviewing schematics from the client’s architect Richard Smith, calling for conventional timber framework construction utilising superfoil insulation to minimise wall width footprint. With fundamentals confirmed, our crew broke ground establishing footing before collaborating with licensed electricians and masonry partner Pete McKenna to encase the insulated wooden structure precisely.

Starting from groundworks to closing finishes, our phased tenure saw strong walls erected fully wired, integrating storage solutions and trims translated from dreams to reality – adding lasting value through spaces amplified in both utility and warmth.

House Extension - Fakenham

At Andrew Boyle, we are committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and elevating living spaces. One of our notable projects took place in the charming town of Fakenham, Norfolk, where we were entrusted with a transformative house extension assignment.

Our journey in Fakenham began with a homeowner’s vision to enhance their property by expanding its space and increasing its overall value. They sought to create a versatile living environment that would serve both practical and lifestyle needs.

The challenge was clear: design and build a house extension that seamlessly integrated with the existing structure, providing the homeowner with the additional space they desired while maintaining the aesthetic harmony of their property.

Our team embarked on this project with a comprehensive approach, starting from the ground up. We meticulously planned and executed every phase, ensuring that attention to detail remained at the forefront of our efforts.

Bespoke Oak PorcH - Binham

Bespoke carpentry creations like a recent client’s oak porch addition in Binham, Norfolk remain a specialty. Working with the porch designer Ernie, who also designed and built the adjacent windows and multiple doors. We turned aspirations into reality through collaborative drafting guiding construction from groundworks through finishing flair.

With a vision matched to the existing home’s striking exterior, our crew first prepared a robust brick footing foundation on-site. Then, working offsite in our workshop, we constructed the gorgeous freestanding timber frame, precisely cut for seamless assembly once anchored to the completed supporting infrastructure.

Topped handsomely with sustainably sourced reclaimed pan tiles deliberately chosen to deliver an elegantly understated roofline, the covered entryway addition makes an indelible first impression. Its custom build now extends open-armed invitations inside the private haven beyond gates aesthetically elevated.

New Build garage - Norfolk

Quality and reliability remain paramount as exemplified by reviving a new garage construction in Norfolk after previous builders failed to meet professional benchmarks. With concrete foundation and slabs already established onsite, we collaborated across plans for a multipurpose sips-panelled structure (structurally insulated panels) with additional utility storage creatively tucked away up into the truss rafters overhead.

Getting quickly up to speed, our crew installed insulation, Sips panels, vapour barriers and breathable membranes essential for maintaining energy efficiency within the spacious workshop walls. Our roofing specialists then constructed the roof with several different trusses to keep all protected across seasons. With the structural carcass watertight, we completed feather edge cladding adding exterior aesthetic flair.

Through meticulous carpentry techniques picking up where lacking vision left off, a lasting structure addition now stands ready to serve various uses; electrically equipped, thermally guarded, and storage galore for vehicles and gear thereby amplifying enjoyment of activities and interests for years ahead through spaces carved out precisely to uplift pursuits.

Hand Cut Roof - Whissonsett

In the picturesque village of Whissonsett, Andrew Boyle’s team embarked on a remarkable project that showcased the seamless integration of structural engineering and carpentry expertise. This ambitious endeavor involved crafting a unique, hand-cut roof for a newly constructed dwelling, reinforced with steel to support substantial spans overhead.

The project began with the realisation of the architect’s vision, which called for dramatic angles and shapes that could only be achieved through meticulously designed roof supports. Fabrication specialists employed computer-assisted precision cuts to create the foundational framework, setting the stage for what was to come.

Andrew Boyle’s team seamlessly collaborated with steelworkers, complementing the precision of machine-cut elements with the artistry of hand-crafted timber. On-site, our skilled craftsmen meticulously hand-cut each piece, ensuring that every detail is aligned with the architect’s vision.
